In honor of Women’s History Month, FREE have put together this video illustrating that gender discrimination and gender-based violence is not a national issue, but a global one. Throughout Women’s History Month, great triumphs have been accomplished and we have celebrated women’s rights and how far we have come. But this month has also seen gender-based violence, feminicides, and gender discrimination continue beyond borders. FREE’s partners want to celebrate women by making sure they are included in the curriculum as protagonists, by making sure teachers, educators and parents alike, act together to challenge gender discrimination in schools wherever they see it, and through the provision of comprehensive gender training. This Women’s History Month we want teachers and parents to join us and #ChoosetoChallenge​ gender inequality and discrimination.
